A town of Sterling homeowner was bound and assaulted during a robbery Wednesday night.
26-year-old Caleb Pilkenton, of Auburn, and 31-year-old Derrick Sedore, of Utica, have been charged with two felony robbery counts, along with misdemeanor charges of criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful imprisonment.
After spotting a car near the county border Wednesday, Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies saw two men running from a home on Craine Road while carrying items outside. Pilkenton and Sedore ran into a wooded area and eventually surrendered to police after a perimeter was set up around them.
Both men were sent to Cayuga County Jail without bail and additional charges are pending.
