There is anger simmering among parents of Port Byron School District students in the wake of an online threat by a 6th grade student two weeks ago. Parents accuse district officials of a lack of transparency.
Matt Poyneer said on Thursday’s Finger Lakes Morning News the lack of communication following the threat was unacceptable.
Emily Laframboise said School Board President Joseph Verdi ignored the call for an emergency board meeting to address the issues surrounding the incident.
Laframboise says parents will be at the board meeting on March 8 to demand answers from district officials.
