UPDATE 11:30am: It did not take Cayuga County Clerk Sue Dwyer long to get to the bottom of the lack of license test dates. In an email received an hour after her appearance on the Finger Lakes Morning News, Dwyer said after contacting the state Department of Motor Vehicles, there are now test dates and times available.
Cayuga County Clerk Sue Dwyer has been leading the fight to get more money from the state DMV for all the work counties with DMV offices perform on the state’s behalf. Now, she’s demanding answers from the DMV Commissioner about why people can’t get a test date for a Class D driver’s licence.
Dwyer said on Monday’s Finger Lakes Morning News that’s not right.
With tests being scheduled two months out, Dwyer is waiting for an answer from Albany, but she’s promising to get answers and resolve this problem as soon as possible.
