Auburn City Council learned on Thursday the city is saving a substantial sum of money for it’s fiscal responsibilities for the North Division Street bridge project.
City Clerk Chuck Mason explained on the Friday Finger Lakes Morning News.
According to Capital Projects Director Christina Selvek, Auburn’s project match was $210,900, but that has been reduced to just under $31,000. The city will need to fund upgrades for water and sewer fixtures in the area and those costs could top a quarter of a million dollars.
Construction on the massive project is expected to begin in the late summer or fall.
