If you have been watching the Winter Olympics, you might have seen speedskater Brittany Bowe.
Bowe just missed getting a bronze medal last night, missing by less than half-a-second in the 1,000 meter event. Bowe now has a fourth- and fifth-place finish at the Olympics. She’s skating faster than any other American speedskater, and that’s after she was sidelined with severe post-concussion symptoms for a year and a half. Bowe is 29-years old and now lives in Utah.
Her mother, Debbie Starr, is a Waterloo native and graduated from the Waterloo High School in 1976. Her dad Mike Bowe is a Victor native.
