The hits just keep on coming for State Senator John DeFrancisco.
On Monday, the chairs from three Republican county committees and the Onondaga County Conservative Party threw their support behind Senator DeFrancisco, joining 9 other county GOP chairs who had endorsed his bid for the GOP nomination for Governor in the wake of Friday’s surprise withdrawal of Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb.
On Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan endorsed his deputy leader. Flanagan called him a smart, strong and principled leader who will make an outstanding chief Executive. He also said New Yorkers who are just getting to know DeFrancisco should take their cues from those who know him the best, including his Senate colleagues, who can personally attest to the characteristics that will serve him well as Governor.
Cayuga County’s Republican Party executive will meet on Thursday to endorse either Senator DeFrancisco or former Erie County Executive Joel Giambra.
