An Ithaca woman has been sentenced to five years in prison for her role in a fatal robbery that occurred in Newfield in December of 2016.
Jamie Gerhart pleaded guilty to felony first-degree robbery in December. She was initially charged with second-degree murder and robbery for her role in the death of her ex-boyfriend, 30-year-old Camden Rundell, who was killed when five people conspired to steal marijuana plants from his home. Police say the robbery was botched.
One of the defendants, Roy Clements, was found not guilty of murder at his trial, while the four other suspects have taken similar plea deals to lesser charges.
