A joint prostitution investigation conducted by the Canandaigua Police Department and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department resulted in the arrest of two men.
29-year-old Eric Wild of Alden, in Erie County, along with 39-year-old James White, of Lyons, is accused of coming to Canandaigua for the purpose of having sex with a prostitute in exchange for money. As Wild was being arrested he took off on foot and physically resisted with officers once he was taken into custody. Both men are charged with patronizing a prostitute, with Wild facing an additional charge of resisting arrest.
Wild was jailed until his arraignment, while White was issued an appearance ticket.
