UPDATE 9:20am: City of Auburn water crews made short work of the repairs to the broken water main at 88 Prospect Street. The City Manager’s Office reports the repair has been completed, the water has been turned on and Prospect St. has been reopened to traffic.
The city of Auburn has announced Prospect Street will be without water for a few hours Thursday.
The city will implement an emergency water shut off to repair the break from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the following areas:
Prospect Street, from Boyle Avenue north to the city line at Grant Avenue, all of Seneca Parkway and all of Hickory Street, including Ward Lane.
Prospect Street will be closed to all traffic from Boyle Street to Brookside Drive during the repair.
