Governor Andrew Cuomo, along with the governors of New Jersey and Connecticut, has announced the formation of a coalition to sue the federal government, seeking to overturn the tax reform bill signed into law last month. At issue is the $10,000 limit on deductibility of state and local taxes, which Cuomo says is unconstitutional:
New York is the top “donor state” in the union, to the tune of $48 billion, while New Jersey is 2nd at $31 billion. There’s no timetable yet for the lawsuit’s filing.

We will not stand idly by as the federal government attacks the fiscal health of our states.
