There was a brief scare at the Cayuga County office building in downtown Auburn on Monday afternoon.
No one was injured when the building was evacuated after a fire alarm went off on the sixth floor.
Auburn Fire Chief Joe Morabito said it isn’t clear what triggered the alarm.
He adds two people were taken to safe rooms on the 3rd and 6th floors of the building.
Firefighters checked the building before staff and visitors were allowed to return after the all clear was given around 1:30pm.
