State Senator John DeFrancisco has not announced if he’ll run for Governor in November, but he has the cash to do it. The latest campaign finance report from the state Board of Elections shows the GOP Senator has a combined $1.45 Million in his two campaign accounts The Senate Deputy Majority Leader is still mulling over joining Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb on the Republican primary ballot.
Other Cayuga County lawmakers have been raking in the cash. According to the January filings report, Sen. Jim Seward brought in almost $126,000 and has $395,000 in his campaign account, while Sen. Pam Helming raised $9,600, boosting her campaign account to just over $96,000.
Assemblyman Bob Oaks received $13,500 and now has $123,000 for his re-election bid, while Assemblyman Gary Finch brought in $49,000 but has $17,000 in his campaign account.
