Mrs. Heffron was born on May 13, 1915, in Clifton Springs, N.Y., the daughter of the late Constant and Stephanie Landuyt Antheunis. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Mrs. Heffron was a fabulous cook and was known for her great rolls. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and flowers. She also enjoyed bird watching – bluebirds and hummingbirds were her favorite. She was also a great fisherwoman. Family was the focus of her life. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by family on a Sunday afternoon when there was always a fresh pot of coffee and a piece of pie or cookie to be enjoyed around the kitchen table while multiple conversations ensued. She was a member of the greatest generation!
She is survived by her children Mary (Bernie) DeLand, Betsy Pronti, Joanne Heffron, James (Pam) Heffron, Pauline (Dave) Moffitt, and Patricia (Bill) O’Neil, all of Phelps, Margie (Ken) Morgan of Dansville; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gerry Antheunis of Clifton Springs; brother-in-law, James (Ann) Heffron of Clifton Springs; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Linus; son-in-law, Sandy Pronti; brothers and sisters Sylvia Antheunis, Gus Antheunis, Clara Breen, Alice Curran, Esther O’Neil and Cy Antheunis.
