Carol E. Dubbs Moore Fassell, 73, passed away at her home in Geneva on Thursday (January 11, 2018).
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday (January 21) at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., Geneva. A Graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery, in Central Square in the spring.

Carol was born in Geneva, the daughter of the late Francis and Jean Douglas Dubbs. She was a graduate of Geneva High School, furthered her education at SUNY Cortland, earning a B.A. in Education, and then went on to teach English at Central Square Central School district. Later enrolling in Syracuse University, Carol earned her Masters in Diatetics. She was a dietician at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse and with the WIC Program at Oswego and Onondaga Counties. She was a member of the American Diatetics Association and the National Education Association.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald; her daughter, Karen French of Central Square; step-children John (Beth) Fassell of Roseville, Calif., Susan Fassell of Geneva, Mark Fassell of Auburn and Jill Fassell of Syracuse; her sister, Kathy Dubbs Davids, of Jacksonville, Fla.; her grandchildren Mark French of Bakersfield, Calif., and Jamie French of Syracuse and step-grandchild, Patrick Fassell of Roseville, Calif.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her first husband, James Moore.
