Sharon A. Nageldinger, 83, died Monday (January 8, 2018).
At the family’s request, services will be private, with burial in Voak Cemetery.

Sharon was the daughter of the late Henry Sherlin Ansley and Mabel Stine Ansley. She graduated from Geneva High School in 1950. Sharon taught school in Watkins Glen, Victor and for Gorham Central School, before starting her family. She married Merton A. Nageldinger on March 30, 1959 in St. John’s Lutheran Church. Sharon became a full-time homemaker. She and Mert lived their entire married lives in the house Mert built for them. Sharon also was an accomplished seamstress, and also enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. Her husband Mert, predeceased her on Nov. 5, 2013, after 54 years of marriage.
Sharon is survived by one son, Edward (Deborah) Nageldinger; one daughter, Susan (Jay) Kent; grandson, Brian Nageldinger; granddaughter, Amy Nageldinger; brother, Robert (Sandra) Ansley; brother-in-law, Warren (Connie) Foster; and several nieces and nephews.
