Bob Snyder, 83, passed away Wednesday (January 3, 2018), at Huntington Living Center.
There will be no public calling hours. A private memorial service will be at the convenience of the family. Burial to take place in the Spring in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, with full Military Honors.
Bob’s family request memorial contributions be directed to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Bob was born on May 21, 1934 in Gorham, the son of the late John Snyder and Elsie (Kemp) Northup. He was a graduate of Waterloo High School. He served in the US Army from October 1953 – September 1955 earning the rank of CPL. He retired as a foreman from the Seneca Knitting Mill, Seneca Falls after more than 30 years of employment. Bob was a former little league coach and enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events, hunting and fishing. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughters Kim (George) Plate of Waterloo and Vicky (Glenn) Litzenberger of Rochester; a son, Chris (Andrea) Snyder of Shortsville; grandchildren Edward “Zach” (Agathi Georgiou) Graham, Ian Graham, Tara (Josh Castle) Plate, Kaylee (Kevin) Oberer, Shaylynn White, Daniel (Alison Stevens) Plate, Korey (Myranda Garza) Snyder and Timothy Coons; great-grandchild, Kaiya Jo Oberer; brother, Charles (June Allen) Snyder of Ovid; sister, Dorothy Porter of Copperas Cove, Texas; aunt, Martha Milliman of Bellmawr, N.J.; his beloved dog, “Pudge”; and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Church) Snyder.
