Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul braved the winter weather on Thursday afternoon to travel to Auburn, where she addressed a crowd of local officials and residents on Gov. Cuomo’s State of the State address.
The 45-minute presentation was heavy on the accomplishments of the administration and an overview of the 22 proposals in the Governor’s plan.
While she briefly touched on Cuomo’s plan to sue the federal government to attempt to overturn the recently passed tax reform bill, she told Finger Lakes News Radio the proposed suit has merit.
She also said there is some concern about the $4 Billion deficit that comes from the 22 proposals floated by the Governor.
The Buffalo native opened the session by asking everyone in the City Council chamber to cheer for the Buffalo Bills in this weekend’s NFL wildcard playoff game, the Bills’ first playoff appearance in 18 years.
