State lawmakers and Gov. Cuomo get back to work this week. The Legislature begins its 2018 session on Wednesday, the same day Cuomo delivers his State of the State address. Last week, he announced plans for a $65 Million initiative to aggressively combat harmful algal blooms in Owasco and 11 other Central New York lakes.
You’ll have two chances to learn more about the Governor’s plans for the new year. Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul will talk about the State of the State address at Auburn City Hall at 3pm on Thursday afternoon, while Central NY Regional Representative Colleen Deacon will speak at the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce at 8:30 in the morning on January 9.
You can register for the Chamber event at the Chamber website.
