The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office confirms that Seneca County Board Member Don Trout of Waterloo was ticketed for leaving the scene of an accident the night of the 22nd. Deputies were called to the crash site at River Road and Route 96A on reports that someone had hit a telephone police . Witnesses told them the driver ran off into a nearby woods. State Police and deputies searched the area using dogs but didn’t find anyone. Deputies would learn the driver was Trout . He has been taken by a family member to get medical care. He got tickets for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, unreasonable speed, unsafe lane change and driving across hazard markers . Trout is to appear to the Town of Fayette court in February.
