On December 21, State Troopers arrested 72-year old Bert Anson of Sterling for driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC greater than .08% and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway.
Troopers observed Anson on State Route 104 in the Town of Victory operating a motor vehicle. He was placed under arrest after failing multiple standard field sobriety tests.
Anson was transported to the the State Police barracks in Auburn, where he provided a breath sample of .17, more than twice the legal limit.
Anson was issued uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Sterling Court on January 3, 2018.
