Anna Roberta Gravatt, 100, of Cayuga, passed away Dec. 6, 2017 in Reading, Pa. Born in Wooster, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mina (Payne) Rice.
The family moved to Union Springs, N.Y. by way of Shunk, Pa. in the endless mountain region of Pennsylvania. She graduated from Union Springs Academy in 1936. She was employed for 35 years in Adventist Health System hospitals as a nurse director for emergency room, central service, and the pharmacy departments. She served at Paradise Valley Hospital in National City, Calif., Castle Memorial Hospital in Kauila, Hawaii, and Feather River Adventist Hospital in Paradise, Calif. Mrs. Gravatt retired from Lorna Linda University Medical Center in Lorna Linda, Calif.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Gravatt; a son, Robert Gravatt, and by five brothers and sisters, Ruth Chisholm, MaryBelle Rice, Lois Stotler, James Rice, and Payne Rice.
