New York is now one of the healthiest states in the entire country. A study from the United Health Foundation shows New York comes in at number 10 on the list, up eight spots since 2012.
The foundation says New York has seen a drop in premature deaths, cardiovascular deaths, and the infant mortality rate. When the list first came out in 1990, New York came in 40th.
The healthiest state is Massachusetts, with the least healthiest being West Virginia.
