The City of Geneva has launched a pilot program to notify people directly when winter parking bans are put into place . City spokesperson Rhonda Everdyke says the old fashion no parking zones didn’t sense to people anymore.
People can sign up to get e-mail blasts or text messages. We have the sign up link here at Finger Lakes Daily News.com. No overnight parking tickets will be issued unless an alert is sent by the City Communications office .
The City will also reach out on social media.
