Betty Jean Trumbull, age 86, of Geneva, N.Y. died December 8, 2017, at Geneva General Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, (January 11, 2018) at the First United Methodist Church, 340 Main Street, Geneva. A memorial service
will also be held in Pennsylvania at the Brandy Camp United Methodist Church followed by a private burial.
Betty was born December 7, 1931, in Ridgway, Pa. the daughter of Thomas Butterfuss and Emily Irene Himes Butterfuss, she resided in Johnsonburg, Pa. and was a 1949 graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Harry N Horne.
On August 23, 1950, she married Donald F. “Bud” Trumbull of Brandy Camp and they resided in Ridgway, Pa. until 1963 when they relocated to Geneva, N.Y. Betty was a fun loving mother and friend who cherished time with her family and friends. In Geneva she was employed at the Family Bargain Center and then
Geneva General Hospital from which she retired.
She enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends, long car rides in the country, card and board games with her grandchildren, and keeping in touch with friends and relatives near and far.
Betty is survived by her husband, “Bud”; her children Dawn of Bradenton, Fla., Judy of Corona, Calif., Keith (Robin) of Bel Air, Md., and Steve (Martha) of
Rochester, N.Y.; sister, Rosella Mowrey; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is predeceased in 2002 by her son, Eric; her parents; stepfather; and step-sister, Virginia Eckert.
