State Police are charging a 33-year-old Brutus man for allegedly hitting someone with a coffee mug and a laptop. Authorities say Eduardo Calderon-Lopez struck the victim Tuesday afternoon, causing some facial injuries.

Calderon-Lopez is being charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Calderon-Lopez was arraigned and sent to the Cayuga County Jail on 500 dollars cash bail. The alleged victim refused medical attention.
