An arrest has been made in the Tuesday night shooting death of 38 year old Pliekou Irvin Sr. Authorities tracked down suspect Willie Dixon McKoy Jr. to a house in Wolcott . According to Geneva Police Lt. Matt Valenti , they waited him out and took him into custody at 3:20 this morning.
McKoy was arraigned in Geneva City Court this morning on Second Degree murder charges and ordered held without bail. Valenti doesn’t know if the two men knew each other. A motive for the crime has not been released.
On 12.7.2017 @ approximately 3:02am the Geneva Police Department along with the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the NYSP, arrested the following subject for Murder 2nd degree. The investigation led police to a residence in Wayne County where the subject surrendered to police after several hours. This arrest was a result of the homicide investigation where Pliekou Irvin Sr., was shot in the chest in the area of Middle St and Exchange St. Pliekou Irvin Sr. was later pronounced dead at Geneva General Hospital.

Geneva Police are in the early stages of a homicide investigation . Lt. Matt Valenti tells Finger Lakes News Radio officers were called to Geneva General last night around 9:45. 38 year old Pliekou Irvin Sr, was brought in suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was later pronounced dead. Investigators say Irvin was shot while sitting in a car on Middle Street near Exchange . Valenti says they want to talk to a number of people
