State officials have announced the opening of a 20 million dollar mixed-use development in Ithaca.
210 Hancock Street includes 59 housing units, including two-story townhomes as well as affordable housing, Commercial space, which includes an Early Head Start program, as well as the Free Science Workshop, a nonprofit organization that provides hands-on Science Technology Engineering and Math programming for local youth. Mayor Svante Myrick says the development is part of the continuing revitalization of the city, including its housing.
Governor Cuomo says the state has invested over four and a half billion in the region since 2012 as part of the Southern Tier Soaring initiative.
