It was a special delivery for New York State Police.
State Police said they were called to a home on Lake Road in the Wayne County town of Williamson late Sunday afternoon for a reported child birth in progress.
The 911 dispatcher told Trooper Jordan Szklany that the child’s birth was “imminent.”
The mother was in the driveway with the father at the time, and was able to deliver the baby with the help of the trooper.
A short time later, Jameson Francis was born conscious and alert, and placed in his mother’s arms with a blanket for warmth. He was 20 inches long and weighed 8.2 pounds.
