The Cayuga County Sewer and Water Authority has launched a comprehensive study that will help to develop a master plan for the sustainability of water resources in the county.
Authority advisor Doug Selby tells Finger Lakes News Radio the study has been a long time in the making.
A Municipal Partner Committee and a Citizens Advisory Committee will examine all the sewer and water systems in the county.
Selby adds the study could eventually lead to the creation of a county-wide Sewer and Water Authority.
A schedule of meetings and regional workshops for the year long study will be announced in the near future.
