A Brooklyn man caught speeding on the interstate in the Town of Elmira is facing felony drug charges. State Police say 45-year-old Pedro Sanchez was stopped for going 90 miles an hour on I-86 on Friday.
A search of Sanchez’s car allegedly found 40 grams of cocaine, over 100 bags of heroin, around two grams of marijuana, scales, packaging material, and a cutting agent.
Sanchez is being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of marijuana. Sanchez was arraigned in Town of Elmira Court and taken to Chemung County Jail without bail.
