2016 Barrel Fermented Dry Riesling
This Riesling is 100% barrel fermented and aged for 8 months in neutral French oak barrels, giving a weighty mouth-feel and roundness on the palate. Subtle citrus and slate flavors abound.
Joscelyne Andrée Sarkis grew up in Ottawa, Canada. She received her degree in Visual Arts from Algonquin College in 1982. She has continued to study painting and attend workshops with a variety of artists while raising her three sons.
She has shown her work in 2007 and 2008 in student exhibits at the Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery in Canandaigua, as well as in her own studio at annual holiday shows from 2009 to 2015 . From 2012-2015 her paintings were available for purchase at the Finger Lakes Gallery and Frame in Canandaigua. In 2013 three of her paintings were selected to be exhibited in the Women Artists of the Finger Lakes III Show held at The First Congregational Church in Canandaigua. In 2017 she had a solo art exhibit at Wood Library in Canandaigua.
Her vibrant oil paintings reflect the simple beauty in ordinary things. Flowers, fruit, landscapes and recently abstracts speak soulfully and joyfully through her work.
Her studio is located in her home in Canandaigua NY, where she resides with her husband, Wade.
