Tillie Cronmiller, 88 years young, of Port Byron, passed away peacefully on Nov. 27, 2017 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Cronmiller was born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Aug. 5, 1929. She was the daughter of Karl and Mathilde Mastele. She was a devoted mother and homemaker for her family. She was a supportive member of St. John’s Church in Port Byron, the Eucharistic Ministers, the Altar Rosary Society, and the Christian Women’s Club. As part of the Senior Citizen’s Club, she crocheted lap blankets for senior citizens and baby blankets to be donated to various charities in the area. She was an active member of the Home Bureau in Cayuga County.
Tillie is survived by her children, Catherine (John) Mann, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Mathilde “Sue” (William) Richards, of Altoona, Pa., Philip (Cyndi) Cronmiller, of Kirtland, Ohio, Elizabeth “Lisa” (Michael) Gsell, of Fallon, Nev., and Caroline (Joseph) Reagle, of New Castle, Pa. She is also survived by her brother, Karl Mastele, of North Huntingdon, Pa.; her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, loving nieces and nephews, and extended family. All will miss her greatly as she was loved.
