Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb is applauding Gov. Cuomo’s signing of a new tax exemption for licensed breweries, cideries and distilleries. Kolb introduced the measure after meeting Gael Brewing Company owner George Adams in Geneva.
Adams tells Finger Lakes News Radio that like any good craft beverage, the bill took time to ferment.
Adams adds the exemption will help the growing craft beverage industry and the entire economy of the Finger Lakes. According to Kolb, the number of craft beverage producers has grown by more than 180 percent in the past six years.
