UPDATE: The Dryden man accused of setting fire to an Ithaca home has apparently committed suicide in his Tompkins County Jail cell.
The Ithaca Voice reports 31-year-old Joshua Reeves hanged himself sometime Friday morning.
Police say Reeves set fire to the home on Hudson Street Tuesday morning, leaving 7 people temporarily homeless.
Court documents say Reeves believed his girlfriend was cheating on him with one of the home’s residents.
A Dryden man is in jail, after Ithaca police say he set fire to a Hudson Street home.
31-year-old Joshua Reeves is accused of igniting the home at around 1 o’clock Tuesday morning, leaving 7 people temporarily homeless.
Reeves has been charged with 2nd-degree arson, and is being held on $10,000 bail.
The Red Cross is assisting those displaced in the fire.
