A Newark man has been arrested as part of a larger drug investigation in Wayne County. Authorities say 33-year-old Darrell Williams is now the third person behind bars in the probe. The months-long investigation zeroed in on Williams, his girlfriend, 34-year-old Erin Siler, and her mother, 53-year-old Sheila Detaeye.
Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts says Siler and Detaeye were selling heroin out their home in Arcadia, which was also operating as a daycare. Williams is accused of allowing drugs to be sold from his house.
He’s charged with criminal nuisance, two counts of unlawfully dealing with a child and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, because drugs were allegedly sold in the presence of kids between the ages of three and seven.
