Yates County residents are invited to attend a public hearing tonight at the County Office Building in Penn Yan on the proposed 2018 county budget. Budget Officer Nonie Flynn says the 42.8-MILLION dollar spending plan carries with it a tax levy of just under 16.2-MILLION dollars, which is less than a one percent increase from this year’s budget. Flynn said tough budget decisions made in the past by the county are now coming back to benefit taxpayers.
Flynn adds the county will be fulfilling everything that has been put into the capital improvement plan for 2018.
Tonight’s public hearing starts at 7 o’clock. A copy of the budget can be seen by clicking here.
