A traffic stop in Steuben County resulted in a Queens, New York man being arrested for allegedly possessing stolen checks.
State Police pulled over Darryl Carrington on Interstate 86 in Avoca for going 80 in a 65 miles per hour zone. It was discovered the 28 year old did not have a valid driver’s license because of multiple suspensions. Carrington was also found to be in possession of several completed checks in various amounts from multiple New York City accounts, some of which had been altered. Carrington was charged with 22 counts of criminal possession of stolen property.
He was sent to Steuben county Jail in lieu of bail.
