Marva K. Fridley age 77 passed away on Tuesday (November 7, 2017) at Rochester General Hospital.
There will be no prior calling hours. A celebration of Marva’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday (November 10) at the United Church of Phelps. Burial will be in RestHaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the United Church of Phelps in Marva’s memory.
Marva was born January 30, 1940 in Phelps, N.Y. the daughter of the late Paul and Loretta Knapp. She retired from Clifton Springs Hospital after 30 plus years of service as a LPN, where she worked in many different departments. Marva was a member of the United Church of Phelps, where she served on several committees and the Humane Society. She enjoyed playing cards with her card club, Bunco, sewing and many other crafts. Marva also enjoyed traveling through the US, Canada and Europe, fishing, baking, yard sales and theater. Marva was happiest spending time with family and friends.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald Fridley; children Jill (Rob) Seifert and Jay (Cheryl) Fridley; grandchildren Beth, Olivia, Maggie, Carolynn, Lindsay, and Megan; great grandchild, Connor; sisters in law Carol and Janet; several nieces and nephews; special feline friend, BC.
Marva is predeceased by her brothers Maurice and Morgan.
