An Ithaca man accused of taking part in the murder of a Newfield man was found not guilty by a Tompkins County jury Wednesday.
39-year-old Roy Clements, Junior was also acquitted of robbery and conspiracy charges at the conclusion of the three week trial. He was accused of strangling Camden Rundell at Rundell’s home back in December, while trying to rob the 30 year old of his marijuana plants. Two other defendants in the murder pleaded guilty to lesser charges in separate trials, while two murder trials are still pending for two other suspects in the case.
Clements has been jailed since his arrest back in December.
