It took some time, but Cayuga County has a new administrator. Justin Woods was approved during a special legislative session on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday’s Finger Lakes Morning News Woods said he will buck the trend of the previous three administrators, who served an average of two years in the job.
He commented on Cayuga County Clerk Sue Dwyer’s assessment that the administrator serves as a buffer between the legislature and county staff.
He also gave his thoughts on what he expects on Day One in the office.
Woods brings nearly 20 years of local government experience to the position he’s expected to assume by the end of the year.
