Canandaigua voters said yes to three City Charter amendments including the one that increases City Council and Mayoral terms from 2 to 4 years. City Manager John Goodwin says this will bring more continuity to city government.
Council members will also be elected on a staggered basis and not all at the same time. Voters returned Mayor Ellen Polimeni to City Hall for a 14th term. Three newcomers join Coumcil , Democrats Renee Sutton and Stephen Uebbing and Republican Robert Palumbo. Uebbing is a former Canandaigua School Superintendent .
