Business is booming in the Finger Lakes. The New York State Association of Counties on Friday released an update to county officials on sales tax results so far in 2017.
The numbers are impressive, with the entire region enjoying another year of growth. NYSAC Executive Director Stephen Acquario tells Finger Lakes News Radio the average change per county between 2016 and 2017 was an increase of 3.7%, but Oswego, Cayuga and Seneca counties bucked the trend of past years.
The report shows Oswego County enjoyed an increase of 12.5%, while Cayuga County saw a 10.2% bump over 2016. Seneca County, which ranked third in the report, has seen a 9% increase in sales tax revenue this year.
