A Chemung County Jury found an Elmira man guilty Thursday in his retrial of the shooting death of another man following an argument over an Xbox.
29 year old Akeem Williams was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the death of 44 year old Tiko Head of Elmira. His first trial ended in a mistrial after the jury was unable to come to a unanimous verdict. Williams again testified on his own behalf, this time telling the jury the shooting was accidental and that is was Head who initially possessed the gun.
Williams faces up 25 years to life in prison when sentenced December 8th.
