Ruth E. Saville, 85, of Genoa, passed away Friday, Oct. 27, 2017 at the Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca.
Mrs. Saville was born Feb. 26, 1932 in Auburn, a daughter of the late Myrnice and Evelyn (Emlaw) Titus, and had been a resident of Genoa for the past 60 years. She had previously been employed with Smith-Corona, and afterward worked for Cornell University for 32 years prior to her retirement. Ruth was a former member of the Genoa Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and for many years she enjoyed bowling with the Smith’s I.G.A. ladies team at King Ferry Lanes.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Gerald D. “Doc” Saville in 2009; a grandson, Jeremiah Powers; her brother, Maurice “Bucky” Titus, and her three sisters, Betty E. Osterberg, Joan Puckett, and Ethel Austin.

Ruth’s favorite motto was “Always eat your dessert before you eat your dinner.”
