An Elmira man found guilty of attempted murder and other charges in a December 2016 shooting was sentenced in Chemung County Court Monday.
40-year-old Kimani Meadows shot another man in the head and abdomen inside a home on John Street over bad DVD’s, with the victim hospitalized for more than 2 months. Meadows was sentenced to 23 years in prison on attempted murder and criminal use of a firearm charges.
In an unrelated case, Meadows faces a 2nd-degree murder charge in connection with the fatal shooting of a Bronx woman, also last December in Elmira. That trial will begin January 8th
