It was a long Auburn City Council meeting on Thursday. Among the presentations during the 3-hour session was an overview of the results of the police department’s internal and public satisfaction surveys.
Chief Shawn Butler said on Friday’s Finger Lakes Morning News he’s happy with the results that provided unvarnished opinions from officers, staff and the citizens they serve.
The Chief added they wanted the harsh comments that came from some in the community.
The results of the survey conducted with the assistance of SU’s Maxwell School will be used to develop the department’s strategic plan to improve community relations.
