I Love New York spotters say the Finger Lakes should have peak fall foliage this weekend . We are told, I Love New York defines peak foliage as “the period when the leaves are displaying their best overall appearance of the season.” They recommend going to Bristol Mt. for some prime viewing. In Schuyler County leaf peepers in and around Watkins Glen predict near peak foliage with 80-90 percent color change and muted shades of orange and red. Auburn spotters are also predicting close to peak conditions with a 70 percent change over and green, orange, red and yellow leaves of average brilliance.
