The single biggest topic brought up during this week’s Geneva League of Women Voters Candidates Forum was the fate and future of the Ontario County landfill which is currently scheduled for shutdown 11 years from now in 2028. This week we will hear comments from all six people running for Geneva City Supervisor.
First today the Candidates seeking to represent Wards 5 and 6 on the Ontario County Board. Democrat TaMarie Cataldo wants the landfill to remain under close scrutiny.
Incumbent Republican Greg Bendzlowicz says the County needs a solid waste management scheme that will take us well past 2028.
