Members of the local law enforcement community that are also involved in the Yates Substance Abuse Coalition will update the community in the ongoing battle on heroin and other drug issues in Yates County at two forums planned for this week. On Tuesday and Thursday night’s, the audience will hear from Sheriff Ron Spike and District Attorney Valerie Gardner, who tells us about another guest speaker from the Finger Lakes Area Counseling and Recovery Agency, or FLACRA.
A prevention educator from the Council on Alcoholism will also be on hand to address the audience.
The “Moving Forward” community updates will be held at 7 o’clock Tuesday night at the Penn Yan Middle School Auditorium and Thursday night at the Dundee Central School Auditorium. Both nights will also feature an audience questions and comments period.
WFLR’s Lucas Day will be hosting both events on behalf of the Coalition.
