Gaylord (Butch) F. Johnson, Jr. of Interlaken passed away at Beechtree Rehabilitation & Nursing home on Sunday, (October 15, 2017) at the age of 79.
Butch was born on February 14, 1938 a son of the late Gaylord and Anna Mae Johnson. He worked as a commercial truck driver and partnered with his family operating a feed company. Once Butch retired he enjoyed being outdoors, he was a motorcycle enthusiast, treasured tinkering with classic John Deere tractors and could truly fix anything. Butch was a devout believer in the Lord, spent many hours listening to his favorite preachers and loved spreading the good news. He was always willing to help anyone in need and had the rare ability to make people feel welcome. The term “he never knew a stranger” was true of Butch, he had a genuine warmth toward all people regardless of how well he knew them.
Butch is survived by his six children Daniel Johnson (Cindy), Laura Johnson (Ross Macintyre), John Johnson (Elizabeth), Lisa Johnson, April (Johnson) Cerretani, and Joe Johnson. In addition to his children, he is survived by 19 wonderful grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jocelyn (Johnson) Bolona (Joseph).
Private burial services will be held for the immediate family.
